Social Issues Educational Videos for Students

This lively program encourages kids to consider the consequences of their own behavior, understand the behavior of others, and feel comfortable turning to adults for help when they need to. After viewing this program students will: recognize that bullies are not alike; feel comfortable turning to adults for help; understand that the target’s feelings, rather than the bully’s intent, make something a bullying behavior.

Grades 3-5 Using situations that middle-elementary students will readily recognize, the program dramatizes different examples of bullying behavior: physical bullying, teasing with put downs and taunts, spreading rumors, and harassing with threats and insults over the Internet.

This program was developed with the help of undercover police, detectives and a school teacher who has worked with the FBI on child abductions. Predators seem to be everywhere and now they are able to come into the home via the internet. This program points out some of the pitfalls parents make and what parents and teachers can do to help protect children who use the internet.

Violence is anything that hurts a person physically or emotionally. School violence refers to any act of violence that occurs within a school community. Both “threats of violence” and physical “acts of violence” create an unsettling and unsafe environment for everyone in a school community.

The sexual Predators in Public Places program is designed to provide information relating to sexual predators and potential child abductors in places where you work. This includes hotels, arcades, swimming pools, malls, bowling alleys, churches, theatres, parks and other public places.
