This program was developed with the help of undercover police, detectives and a school teacher who has worked with the FBI on child abductions. Predators seem to be everywhere and now they are able to come into the home via the internet. This program points out some of the pitfalls parents make and what parents and teachers can do to help protect children who use the internet.
Grades 6-12 In one out of eight teenage relationships, dating becomes a complicated pattern of physical and/or emotional abuse inflicted on one partner — most often the girl — and a pursuit of power and control by the other. In a series of dramatic vignettes, this workshop addresses myths about the nature of love and gender-related behavior that allow dating violence to flourish.
Supporting a friend or family member who was a victim of sexual assault is an important step for his or her recovery. The Helping a Friend Who Was Sexually Assaulted Tri-Fold Brochures explain the importance of being a supportive and trustworthy friend and what steps should be taken to help a friend cope with the sexual assault.
